Launched in 1984, Blanton's Single Barrel revolutionized American whiskey and restored it to nobility. The first barrel-bottled bourbon, Blanton's is produced at the Buffalo Trace Distillery in the heart of Kentucky, home to thoroughbred horses.
This straight bourbon bears the name of Colonel Albert Blanton who ran the distillery from 1912 to 1953 and who, for special occasions or special guests, selected a cask from his best winery, the famous "Warehouse H".
The latter, particularly exposed to the sun, is also heated during the harsh winter months to promote the maturation of whiskey.
The creator of Blanton's, master distiller Emeritus Elmer T. Lee, was inspired by his illustrious predecessor. Ample. Vanilla and cinnamon flavors followed by cardamom and clove.
