Lucien Le Moine is an "haute-couture" merchant-breeder's house created by Mounir Saouma and Rotem Brakin, a couple of Lebanese origins. After a visit to a monastery and a first approach to the art of making wine, then enology studies, he created his structure in 1999 intending to offer wines from the most beautiful terroirs.

The house's name comes from the nickname that his comrades gave him following his education in the Cistercian cloister: "The Monk". Lucien was the name the monks had given him. Today, it produces 38 different wines, from villages to fine wines. Vinification and breeding are precise and well done, as delicately and naturally as possible.

The flamboyant nose of Islay scotch and vineyard peach, plus a high-toned whiff of banana. Large-scale, thick, salty and dry, if the Chevalier is like spring water, this one is like a river rock in your mouth.

But utterly smooth and seamless, not heavy, offering noteworthy lift to its flavors of pear and magnolia.
