This wine is produced at Feudo di Mezzo winery, situated in the heart of Etna viticulture. It comes from Nerello Mascalese grapes, and from the search for a modern expression of this noble grape variety cultivated in the unique and splendid terroir of Etna. The land has a perfect aspect and position, black with lava sands, and thus extraordinarily rich in minerals, surrounded by woods and more recent lava flows.

Grape Variety: 100% Nerello Mascalese

The aroma reveals notes of cherries, red currants, strawberries, dried herbs, rose petals and delicate spices. Alongside the fruitiness, there are hints of volcanic stone, ash, iron and slightly smoky nuances, which are very characteristic of Etna wines.

The wine is medium-bodied, elegant, precise, fresh, with lively tannins and expressive acidity, so the wine retains energy and lightness even with ripe fruitiness. The palate reveals notes of cherry, pomegranate, wild berries, pepper and mineral earth. The aftertaste is long, subtly salty and mineral.
