Founded in 1846, John Dewar & Sons Ltd has grown from a small wine and spirits merchant shop in Perth, Scotland, to become a global brand. It was John Dewar’s dynamic sons, John Alexander and Tommy Dewar, who founded the Aberfeldy
Dewar’s Signature is blended using the rarest whiskies from across Scotland. The blend is then returned to vintage oak casks, allowing these malts to age and harmonize to perfection.
Nose: both firm and rounded, it reveals ripe fruits (peach, mirabelle plum) and citrus fruits (grapefruit). It evolves on coconut and dark chocolate. Herbaceous (verbena, anise).
Palate: balanced. A small hint of smoke coats the ripe fruits (apricot, peach). Malty, it comes back to coconut and develops on dried fruits (nuts, almonds).
Overall: long, bittersweet. It reveals notes of gentian root and spices (ginger). Evokes a lemon pie.
