Château La Gaffelière, which gained status in 1954 as a Saint-Émilion Premier Grand Cru Classé, is the original estate of the Malet Roquefort family who originally settled and established the winery at the turn of the 1700’s.  It is a gorgeous estate in Saint-Emilion which can be found in a great location right next to Chateau Pavie.

Blend:  90% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 

Dominated by Merlot, the wine has weight as well as a rich, velvety texture supporting the powerful black fruits. As befits a second wine, this should develop relatively quickly and generously.
