The vineyard was established here around 1150 thanks to the monks who founded the priory of Morgeot and then the Cistercian abbey of Morgeot, of which the chapel walls still remain today.
This 4.5 hectare vineyard has defied time in this deep terroir where marl and clay dominate the limestone, and expresses itself in two colors: gold radiates, ruby shimmers. This great wine speaks to the soul and the body, and the proportion of old vines contributes to its distinguished opulence .
This Chassagne-Montrachet has a slightly golden color with a fairly intense nose of flowers, warm croissant or brioche and candied lemon, evolving with age towards nuances of toasted hazelnuts and spices.
The flavor is frank, combining freshness and character, sap and finesse. The long persistence leaves the palate with floral and gingerbread notes.
