Legend has it that the name of this imposing estate of Saint-Julien is attached to that of Connétable Talbot, a famous English man of war, defeated at the Battle of Castillon in 1453. It is since this oldest area of the Médoc that product Constable Talbot, the second wine of Château Talbot. Its 2015 vintage is made up of an assembly that gives pride to the Merlot and is accompanied by Cabernet Sauvignon.
Blend: 60% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon.
The color is purple with purple reflections
On the nose, black fruits emerge, blackcurrant, cherry, then woody and vanilla notes.
On the palate, the attack is frank, very fruity, associated with a good length and freshness and all the finesse of a Saint Julien wine.
