Cristal Cuvée Champagne was created in 1876 to satisfy the demanding tastes of Tsar Alexander II. The emperor asked Louis Roederer to reserve the House’s best Cuvée for him every year.

Golden yellow color with mat and amber reflections. Persistent, brilliant and nervous effervescence. A subtle bouquet, both secret and concentrated. It reveals notes of citrus compote, candied apricot and gently evokes honeysuckle.

Aeration reveals the finely vanilla cocoa bean, toasted hazelnuts and hints of licorice with the edge of cinnamon. 

The palate is organized, energetic and chiseled. A first sensation, dense, ripe, silky is amplified by the discovery of a chalky cave freshness, a powdery, almost minty freshness. The feeling is delicate and airy, a series of gourmet and colorful textures, perfectly integrated into the lightness and finesse of the wine, a real invitation to travel.
