The story of 400 Conejos, Mexico's No. 1 Mezcal, begins with an ancient Mesoamerican religious tradition that reserved for priests the privilege of establishing communication with divinities. To achieve this, they ritually consumed drinks made from agave.

The deities associated with the drinks were collectively known as “centzon-totochtin” in Nahuatl, which translates as 400 Conejos in Spanish. The number 400 was used to signify “incommensurable” and “incalculable”. It is believed that the spirit of those “400 Rabbits” lives on in every bottle of this remarkable, award-winning mezcal. in Spanish, as the brand was founded on the belief that anything is possible.
