The Gosset family has been established in Aÿ, Grand Cru de Champagne, since the 16th century. For 16 generations, Maison Gosset has perpetuated excellence, the guardian of which today is Odilon de Varine, cellar master and deputy general manager of the house. The house's champagnes are recognizable in particular by the shape of their bottle, a legacy of the “antique” bottles used in the 18th century.

This Celebris Vintage Extra Brut 2008 from Gosset is made from a blend of Chardonnay 54% and Pinot Noir 46%. This vintage is only the 8th edition of Gosset Celebris vintage over the last 34 years.

To the eye, a deep yellow color is illuminated by fine and abundant pearling.

The nose is floral with touches of white flowers of acacia, jasmine and mimosa. Fruity notes of pear and mirabelle plum. The bouquet is rich and heady, vinous, but airy.

The palate is characterized by marked pastry aromas: pear cake, vanilla madeleine, spoon biscuit, sabayon.The finish is long and saline.
