The medieval history of Château Carbonnieux is evidenced by an act of exchange between two monks of the powerful Abbey of Sainte-Croix de Bordeaux.
Founded in the 13th century by the Benedictines, Château Carbonnieux is one of the oldest in Bordeaux. In 1956, Marc Perrin acquired the castle which became classified in 1959 in Red and White.
Blend: 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot
It is a balanced wine with soft tannins.
Visually, it has a purple color with violet highlights.
On the nose, black fruits emerge, such as blackcurrant and cherry, followed by woody and vanilla notes.
On the palate, the attack is direct and fruity, combined with a lovely length and freshness, and all the finesse of a Pessac-Léognan wine .
