For six centuries, winemakers have been working the land at Cheval Blanc, a land that was planted with vines over 2,000 years ago.

The current configuration of the domain dates back to the middle of the 14th century. During the past 150 years, the reins at Cheval Blanc have changed hands only once.

This has enabled long term stability in terms of technical management and has safeguarded the integrity of its vineyards.

Grapes Blend: 58% Merlot, 38% Cabernet Franc, 4% Cabernet Sauvignon  

On the first nose, notes of cherry, raspberry, blackberry, blackcurrant, violet, rose, peony and lilac. As the wine opens, slightly caramelised notes with pepper and spices appear.

The attack is creamy and mouth-filling, developing in the mid-palate with powerful, round tannins which are both rich and elegant, voluminous and refined.

The elegance of this wine with its persistent fresh and fruity finish hails from the exquisite balance between the tannins and acidity.
