Amédée Aubéry, a powerful industrialist and landowner, acquired Trois Rivières in 1905. He modernized the site, stopped sugar production and produced only rum. 1980 Marketing outside Martinique had begun; the distillery expanded and acquired a second distillation column. First mainland France and then the whole of Europe would discover Trois Rivières rums.
This rum is colorless and crystalline. Full-bodied rum. The aroma is dominated by fragrances of warm sugar, ripe banana and coconut milk. The wonderful finish of this rum is distinctly primary, with hints of white pepper.
