Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé is pure extravagance delicate, yet also rich and voluptuous, intense and powerful, yet with great finesse.
After a mild winter, spring frost and hail caused damage to the vineyards. By mid-July, summer had arrived in earnest, with dry heat and ample sunshine to bring grapes to perfect maturity across all crus. The rain returned at the end of September, just as the harvest began. Although marked by difficult weather conditions, 2012 nevertheless produced a wine with promise. Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé 2012 is a cuvée characterized by the aromatic richness and freshness of Chardonnay, balanced out by frank, lush Pinot Noir and fruity Meunier grapes.
A pale pink robe with coppery reflections and fine bubbles.
Pronounced aromas of flowers rose and peony, small red fruits, wild strawberries raspberry and pink grapefruit.
A frank attack followed by a beautiful roundness, with a long, silken finish. A particularly balanced wine.
