2017 Monthélie Domaine Dujardin Burgundy White

St Barth’s Wine

Domaine Dujardin is a family-owned estate with an area of 8 hectares producing great Burgundy Wines such as the Monthelie 1er Cru, white Meursault, Auxey-Duchesse. Winemaker of the Côte de Beaune, the Domaine Dujardin is located in the heart of the great wines of the Côte de Beaune as it is between Volnay, Meursault, and Pommard in Côte d'Or.

The Monthelie Blanc from Ulrich Dujardin is hand-picked and has been aged for 12 months in small oak barrels and left on the lees for a long time to give it aromatic complexity and long and balanced maturation in the bottle. The result is a white burgundy with a juicy Chardonnay fruit and beautiful noblesse and grip through the oak aging. Stylistically, it is not far from the voluminous wines from the neighboring village of Meursault.

The nose is fresh, fruity with aromas of hawthorn, white flowers, honey and hazelnut. The palate is very feminine, generous and offering light citrus notes. The body of the cuvée offers a certain structure and intensity, the finish extends over a long persistence
