As the label notes, Jim Beam’s new Black Label 8 Year Old is double aged, double the age of Jim Beam White Label, that is, spending eight years in the barrel instead of four. A premium bourbon with a more flavourful character. Meant to be sipped and savored. It's those extra years of aging that give Jim Beam Black its full-bodied flavor with smooth caramel and warm oak notes.
The nose is full of corn, oak and caramel with a hint of vanilla. The palate is sweet followed by spice with fruits, undergrowth and butter. The mouthfeel is a very pleasant surprise. The finish is long with lasting flavors of caramel and wood
