2011 Château Durfort-Vivens Margaux - Bordeaux Red

St Barth’s Wine

Château Durfort-Vivens owes its name to the Durfort de Duras, a powerful family in the South-West of France that came to Margaux in the fourteenth century. The nose, still a little buttery, expresses lovely notes of red fruit, red currants, dark fruit blueberries, violets, and unsmoked cigar tobacco.

The attack on the palate is smooth and evolves with a fresh, refined texture. Very pleasant, fruity, full-bodied character. A delicious sweetmeat. The finish is moderately long and elegant with notes of fresh fruit and vanilla.
