Chambolle-Musigny les Cras 2013, Dom Georges Roumier, Burgundy Red
The domaine was founded in 1924 by Georges Roumier, who began domaine bottling in 1945. He was succeeded in 1957 by his son Jean-Marie and now grandson Christophe, who joined his father in 1982 and took over completely in 1992. A gorgeously perfumed and intensely floral-suffused
nose evidences hints of stone, red berries, anise and a bit of earth. There is really lovely detail and intensity to the precise, dusty and tension-filled medium-bodied flavours that exude a fine minerality on the mouth coating, linear, mildly austere and highly persistent finish where a saline nuance appears.
