It is at an altitude of 200 meters that “La Colonge” produces thirty-year-old Chardonnays. The plot of 0.35 hectares is exposed due east benefiting from the rising sun and is composed of clay-limestone soils. The juices are first fully vinified and then aged for 11 months in oak barrels.
It is above all the intensity of the nose that impresses with marked mineral and abundant floral notes.
Dried fruits and sweet spices are revealed on the second nose with great subtlety. The palate is fresh, balanced and sapid.
