2020 Domaines Ott Cuvée Étoile Rosé CP07 - Provence

Driven by a winegrower's vision, Étoile ( Star ) is born from a free composition, the union of the best of our three estates in Provence. An artisan cuvée that invites us to take the measure of time and savor every moment.

The cuvée an essential reference for the great rosés of Provence. This exclusive cuvée is the result of a blend of "the best of the three Provençal terroirs" of Domaines Ott: " the salinity " of Clos Mireille " the silky and finesse " of Château de Selle and " the depth " of Château Romassan. The Étoile cuvée shares the vision of Domaines Ott by transcribing the passion and philosophy that drive the fourth generation of the family. An exceptional rosé, Étoile embodies both the quintessence of the terroir of the three Ott estates and the winemaking know-how of the Ott family. For Jean-François Ott, Étoile is a wine “ of the future, of sharing, which unites us to our terroirs. " 

Blend: The 2020 Étoile cuvée from Domaines Ott is the result of a blend of 80% Grenache, completed by 20% Mourvèdre. 25% of the wines were aged in ceramic spheres. This container thus makes it possible to reveal all the purity of the fruit.

Nose
The first nose evokes aromas of grapefruit and vanilla. During the tasting, refreshing lemony fragrances mingle with notes of citrus fruits, exotic fruits, vine peach, raspberry and mimosa.

Mouth
Silky and tangy, the mouth seduces with its roundness, its fruity notes (mango, passion fruit) and its beautiful freshness supported by intense aromas of lime and mandarin peel. Persistent and saline, the finish is marked by subtly peppery notes. Etoile 2020 from Domaines Ott* expresses its terroirs of origin with authenticity and elegance.

Suppose the schistous soils of Clos Mireille bring a greedy salinity. In that case, the limestone soil of Château de Selle confers finesse and elegance and the soil of calcareous sandstone and sandy marls of Château Romassan develops this structure and this aromatic richness characteristic of this cuvée.
