2020 Chardonnay Organic Grgich-Hills Napa G01 - California White

St Barth’s Wine

Miljenko "Mike" Grgich first gained recognition at the celebrated Paris Tasting of 1976, a seminal blind tasting that changed the course of American wine when his 1973 Chateau Montelena Chardonnay was selected as the best white wine in the tasting.

From cool American Canyon and Carneros vineyards in the southern tip of Napa Valley, this classically styled wine doesn't undergo malolactic fermentation, preserving its natural acidity. Fermented and aged 10 months in French oak.

Golden color. Oak forward aromas of roasted nuts, grilled coconut, and beeswax with a dryish medium body and tangy honeyed lemon, green apple, and melon accented finish. Great acidity and structure with a deft touch of oak for sipping or the table.
