The Vougeot appellation, which recalls the Vouge river in its name, was created in 1936. The vineyard is cultivated there at an altitude of 240 to 280 meters, on limestone and marly soils. The Vougeot 1er Cru is made from hand-picked Pinot Noir grapes and, after fermentation, matures for 15-18 months in wood. It is a wine that, despite its solid structure, hides a soul of particular finesse; it is intense and has a pleasant aromatic complexity.

On the nose, it is expressed by notes of small red fruits, notes of violets and notes of undergrowth.
On the palate, it is well structured, the tannins are velvety and the finish is pleasantly harmonious.
