2019 Château Latour-Martillac Pessac-Léognan G01 - Bordeaux White

St Barth’s Wine

The property Château Latour-Martillac owes its name to a tower standing in the main courtyard of the château. This tower is the remnant of a 12th-century fort and was used to control the road from Bordeaux to Toulouse. Owned by the Kressmann family since 1871, Château Latour-Martillac gained the title of Cru Classé des Graves in both red and white in 1953.

A blend of 42% Semillon and 58% Sauvignon Blanc, harvested between the 3rd and 17th of September, the 2019 Blanc came in at 50 hectoliters per hectare and 13.8% alcohol.

Aromas of fresh lemons, yellow apples and white peaches gently waft from the glass with emerging nuances of baking bread, almonds and spice cake.

The medium-bodied palate has electric intensity with the tightly wound citrus layers well-supported by racy acidity, finishing savory.
