2019 Chablis Grand Cru Bourgros William Fèvre - Burgundy White

St Barth’s Wine

1959, the year in which William Fèvre declared his first crop, marked the birth of the domain. Descended from a family which had lived in the Chablis region for over 250 years, it was only natural that he set up as a winemaker with 7 hectares of vineyards.

Over the years the domain has acquired new vineyards in Chablis, all located in the historic terroirs. William Fèvre has become one of the biggest landowners in Chablis with 78 hectares of prestigious vineyards, of which 15.9 are classified as Premiers Crus and 15.2 as Grand Crus.

An exceptional terroir, respected authenticity, unparalleled pleasure, is the very example of the style and know-how of Maison William Fèvre: a well-defined aromatic structure, a generous, powerful and delicate wine.

A very intense, quite mineral-driven bouquet with flint aromas developing all the time in the glass as it gains intensity.

Open and expressive, bursting with aromas of fresh peaches, oatmeal and dried white flowers.

On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, satiny but incisive, displaying good concentration and an impressive spine of tangy acidity, which lends superb cut and drive to the chalky finish. A remarkable length in the mouth.
