2018 Château Nénin Pomerol P7 - Bordeaux Red

St Barth’s Wine

On the eve of the 1997 harvest, Jean-Hubert Delon purchased Château Nénin, which had belonged to his cousins, the Despujol family, since 1847. A major restructuring was immediately undertaken.
The pruning and trellising methods were reviewed, the land was drained, the vines were replanted or uprooted, and the equipment modernized. The aging and storage cellars were extended and completely re-fitted, and air conditioning was added. A new vat room, furnished with state-of-the-art equipment, was built thereby completing the total transformation of the property.

Blend: 63% Merlot, 37% Cabernet Franc.

Beautiful dress dressed in a dark purple color. Intensely expressive, the bouquet seduces with its elegance and finesse. Gourmet notes of black fruits reminiscent of cherry and blueberry are followed by the freshness of menthol notes and the delicacy of floral notes with the scent of violet. With great minerality, the vintage displays magnificent graphite notes reminiscent of pencil lead.

On the palate, the mouth evolves by deploying a round and suave substance, structured by powerful tannins and great finesse. With freshness and energy, the development on the palate continues, retaining a beautiful burst of fruit to stretch into a remarkably persistent finish.
