2017 Sancerre Blanc Sauvage Pascal Jolivet Jeroboam Loire Valley White

St Barth’s Wine

The house of Pascal Jolivet is one of the youngest and most dynamic in the Loire Valley. Founded in 1985, this specialist in the wines of Sancerre and Pouilly-Fume has very quickly gained a leading position with the Michelin-starred restaurants of France. Pascal owns an estate of more than 40 acres evenly divided between two appellations.

Sauvage is issued from a careful selection of parcels out of 2 hectares (fives acres) of limestone located in the Champlin hamlet and Bué-en-Sancerre. Those old vines, managed under an organic viticulture process produce exceptional grapes and extremely pure and concentrated juice.

This wine is stamped by its great freshness, vividness, complexity and a saline final. Pour the wine into a carafe to let it expand its rich aromas.

This powerful and full-bodied wine offers minerality, finesse and elegance. The nose reveals the typical gun-flint scent of the flinty terroir in Pouilly. A great wine.
