2017 Château Carbonnieux Pessac-Léognan P7 - Bordeaux Red

St Barth’s Wine

The medieval history of Château Carbonnieux is evidenced by an act of exchange between two monks of the powerful Abbey of Sainte-Croix de Bordeaux. Founded in the 13th century by the Benedictines, Château Carbonnieux is one of the oldest in Bordeaux. In 1956, Marc Perrin acquired the castle which became classified in 1959 in Red and White. Today, Eric and Philibert, his grandsons who took over to follow up on their work Antony.

Blend: Cabernet Sauvignon 65%, Merlot 25%, Cabernet Franc 5%, Petit Verdot 5% .

A very expressive aromatic bouquet, on the richness of the aromas of small red fruits.

On the palate, the attack evolves in delicacy to reveal a heart of mouth with soft flesh, on a material seducing by its softness and its density which stretches in a finish offering a beautiful aromatic persistence. A Château Carbonnieux full of charm in a vintage marked by finesse.
