Founded in 1731 in Beaune by Michel Bouchard, Bouchard Père & Fils, is one of the oldest wine estates in Burgundy, perpetuating tradition for nearly 3 centuries and 9 generations.
In the south of the Côte de Beaune, between Puligny-Montrachet and Santenay, the vineyards of Chassagne-Montrachet are planted with both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
Shadowed a little by the fame of the white wines, the Red Chassagne- Montrachet wines are appreciated by connoisseurs in the way they reveal their " terroir ". Fleshy and powerful, they are reminiscent of the wines from the Côte de Nuits.
Rich aromas of red and black fruit. A fleshy, structured yet totally elegant wine. Good ageing potential.
