2017 Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Embazées Joseph Drouhin C02 - Burgundy White
St Barth’s Wine
Joseph Drouhin, a native of Chablis, was an enterprising and daring man. In 1880, at the age of 22, he chose Beaune to found his Wine House. His goal: to offer quality wines, to which he gives his signature.
The Vineyard is located south of the Côte de Beaune, not too far from the city of Beaune. It is one of the famous villages of the Côte des Blancs producing great white wines, the others are Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. This is a wonderful occasion to savor great wine.
The word "Embazées" comes from "Ambassiacus", the name of a Gallo-Roman domain sheltering the remains of a villa whose presence is mentioned in medieval texts.
Its aromas of hawthorn, acacia and honeysuckle evolve with age towards hazelnut then towards notes of honey and ripe pear.
Opulent wine. Great aromatic persistence
