TerraNoble was founded in 1993 by Don Jorge Elgueta with a vision to make good wines in the Maule Valley. At the time, this region primarily focused its wine growing efforts on yielding quantity, rather than quality. The name ‘TerraNoble’ recognizes the unassuming majesty of the soils of this valley, and its ability to gift excellent wines.
Becoming aware of the evident climatic differences present throughout the narrow territory of Chile –defined by the influences of the Andes Mountains and the Pacific Ocean– we wanted to express this diversity in a project that, at the beginning of 2006, we called CA: 2 wines 100% Carmenere that, under similar conditions of vinification, production and aging, show different typicities according to their places of origin and the influence received from the Andes or the Coast.
This wine shows a stimulating profile, with fresh and intense aromas of red fruits, some notes of herbs and red bell-pepper, characteristic of the variety, as well as mild and refined touches of oak to enhance its fruit and add complexity.
Of good volume, it has round and balanced tannins that feel generous on the palate, a large ending and a fine persistence while maintaining a great freshness and a good creaminess.
