Burgundy red Méo-Camuzet Brother and Sister are made from the Pinot Noir grape (100%) and elaborated from parcels in Vosne Romanée and Flagey, composed mainly of old vines. It is a rather concentrated wine.
The two vineyard plots, vinified separately and blended before being bottled, can take new oak very well (a proportion of about 50% is generally required), and that helps to refine these concentrated wines which are slow to develop. They need to be matured for a long time.
The vineyards of Bourgogne appellation located in these prestigious villages share characteristics of freshness, structure, from were sometimes a certain rusticity, that the field softens by incorporating vintages of Village appellation. Which brings a touch of refinement to the whole.
A wine with fine intensity, supported by much freshness and a pronounced mineral character. Ambigu.
