2016 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru Jacques Prieur G01 - Burgundy Red

St Barth’s Wine

Domaine Jacques Prieur's mythical story started on February 24th, 1868, with the wedding, in Bligny-les-Beaune, of Claude Duvergey (22 years old) and Marie Taboureau (19 years old).

Since 1868, Domaine Jacques Prieur has created one of the rarest mosaics of terroirs in Burgundy. Today it is probably the only estate owning vineyards on the greatest appellations both of Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits. This amazing collection is completed by other prestigious appellations and 3 Clos Monopoles.

Deep and luminous ruby red.
The nose, very precise and complex, with notes of tobacco, licorice, roasting, which open out on notes of ripe and fresh small black fruits, blackberry, blueberry, blackcurrant.
The palate, superbly balanced, with a ripe and fresh fruitiness and a refreshing tangy touch.
Great refinement on the finish with fine and spicy tannins. Very nice sapidity.
