A magnificent Bienvenues Bâtard Montrachet by Henri Boillot with extreme precision. A wine to keep in the cellar for a few years to fully reveal its aromatic potential. The meticulous and elegant Henri Boillot owns and runs the Estate founded by his grandfather. He represents the 5th generation of vine growers of his clan in Côte d'Or. Today, Domaine Henri Boillot is made up of 19 hectares divided between the white (mainly the 1st Crus in Meursault and Puligny where it has all the four hectares of Clos de la Mouchère) and the red.
Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet is part of the family of incomparable white wines of Burgundy. Surrounded on both sides by the vineyard of Bâtard-Montrachet, it is, in fact, the second smallest Grand Cru of Burgundy with only 3.68 ha. In the Middle Ages, the lords would have given these lands to their serfs who then decided to call them "Welcome". The soil is similar to that of Montrachet but slightly more productive.
Hue: a very pale yellow with delicate green hues.
Nose: Lovely, fresh wine, precise and creamy, with hints of brioche and tangerine peel.
Palate: a powerful, rich palate, vigorous and delicate, with a good minerality and notes of salt on the finish.
