The castle was acquired in 1931 by Adèle and Jean Moueix. Alain Moueix, their great-grandson, inherits from his father and then runs the property since 2001. He immediately establishes the practice now certified, an approach that places biological intelligence and observation in the heart of an advanced vineyard, biodynamics.
Alain Moueix is an agricultural engineer and oenologist. Favoring the harmonious vibration of its twenty hectares of a generous land remains for him an absolute priority. His great attention to the sustainability of soils, the development of the terroir, continue to grow in the study of biological phenomena and their pragmatic application. The goal is to reveal the brightness and balance of the wines, following conscious methods. Eighteen years of collaboration with Bordeaux merchants and many years of enthusiastic and exploratory work, have changed the property and those who live to conversion to organic farming, then biodynamic. A patient and passionate adventure that gives this charming property the status of the first Grand Cru Classé certified biodynamic.
Grape Varieties: 90% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc.
The nose is marked by aromas of violet and floral notes as well as aromas of liquor chocolate and fruit brandy. The mouth is supple and round. Nice freshness and beautiful length in the finale.
