The central part of the Côte de Beaune is dedicated to very fine wines, it is the prestigious Côte des Blancs, of which Puligny-Montrachet is a part. The Clos de la Garenne is a small vineyard (1.5ha) located at height of the appellation. At the origin of the vineyard, a farm that belonged to a certain Pullius, a very common Roman name.
