2013 Château de Fieuzal Pessac-Léognan B3 - Bordeaux Red

St Barth’s Wine

The Château de Fieuzal is a famous area of the famous Pessac-Léognan close to Bordeaux. Spread over 75 hectares of vines, the castle offers excellent wines that have been very popular for centuries. One of the owners, a brother Griffon, was consul of the pope in Bordeaux, he then had the opportunity to taste Fieuzal to Pope Leo XIII. The latter immediately decided to reserve several bottles of Château Fieuzal 1893, a year that was remarkable in the vineyard. Today it's an Irish couple Brenda and Lochlann Quinn, who are the owners. Blend: 50% Merlot, 50% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Purple and exudes a beautiful complexity of aromas on the nose. It is focused on red and black fruits: cherries and blackcurrants. Adds wood scents to cedar and oak.

On the Palate, this wine has beautiful tannins coated, still a little marked but which will refine inbreeding. The finish is nice and long and is focused on spices: pepper in particular.
