In 1955, the great engineer Marcel Dassault buys Château Couperie in Saint Emilion on a "thoughtful whim" in his words. He renamed it after his name and focused on developing his equipment to advance the quality of the wine.
In 1969, Château Dassault obtained the classification " Grand Cru Classé ". We must applaud the hard work of a team that, under the impulse of three generations, has made this Grand Cru Classé one of the best in Saint Emilion.
Laurent Dassault now presides over the destiny of the Château, assisted in this task by Laurence Brun in a concern for constant progress.
Grape Varieties: 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Deep purple color with violet reflections. The nose is intense on the plum, the intense black fruits slightly smoked.
Balsamic scents are then revealed with great elegance in a touch of mouth remarkable for its silky and intense. The finish is particularly tasty and extends gracefully with aromas of blond tobacco. A great success for this beautiful vintage on the right bank.
