Starting from Beaune, Nuits Saint Georges is the first big village of the Côte de Nuits, just after Prémeaux Prissey and before Vosne Romanée. The two communes of Nuits and Prémeaux Prissey produce wines bearing the Nuits Saint Georges appellation.
Nuits Saint Georges is a powerful, structured, very colorful wine, with complex aromas of red fruits and spices. It is usually quite hard in its youth but manages to relax very well after 5 to 8 years.
The harmony of its tannin, and roundness structure makes it a full-bodied and solid wine.
